If you head to your local movie theatre, there’s a chance you’ll hear the Futurecop! song, “Eyes Like The Ocean,” from the Valerie and Friends compilation, according to the band’s label, Kiez Beats.
The new film “Comet,” starring Justin Long and Emmy Rossum, opened on Friday and has a cool premise: The story is set in a parallel universe, bouncing back and forth over the course of an unlikely but perfectly paired couple’s six-year relationship, according to IMDB. With a setup like that, it’s easy to see why the filmmakers would include the synthwave giants.
Futurecop!’s new album, Fairy Tales, is out now. The Valerie and Friends compilation was originally released in 2009 by David “College” Grellier, and also features the likes of Anoraak, Electric Youth, The Outrunners and Minitel Rose.
