See That Volume Knob? Turn It Up for Memoryy’s Hot New ’80s-Tinged Cut
New Mexico-based Memoryy’s latest single, “Turn It Up,” is a deft modern synthpop cut aged in the finest pastiches of late-1980s cheese (think Debbie Gibson). It’s heavy on fuzzy synths, chimey guitars wrapped in cellophane, a bouncy backbeat, and sunny, energetic vocals. In essence, Memoryy pairs catchy, pastel-splashed hooks with an easy-breezy, memorable chorus.

The former Brooklyn-based producer’s debut LP, Skeletons, arrives in March. In the meantime, he’s got plenty of other notable originals out there — including the theme song for Chelsea Handler’s Netflix show. There are also the remixes.
