I don’t just interview musicians for Vehlinggo. I also get to have some interesting exchanges for other outlets, such as The Lakeshore Records Podcast. That was the case with yesterday’s exclusive on the excellent Birth.Movies.Death: I had the pleasure of interviewing composer Will Bates about his engaging score for SyFy’s Nightflyers, an adaptation of a book by George R.R. Martin.
Bates, who has previously used his production house’s name, Fall On Your Sword, when scoring films such as Another Earth, is a truly fascinating and swell guy.
Last year Birth.Movies.Death — part of the same family as Alamo Drafthouse and MONDO/Death Waltz — also had the exclusive on my Lakeshore Podcast interview with Cliff Martinez. (This was after I ran my own in-depth with him — 2018 definitely rocked.)
Also last year, I did an exclusive podcast interview for Lakeshore for the Videoman soundtrack. It was a Dread Central exclusive.
