Echosynthetic was a synthwave-focused website that existed for about two years — from 2017 to 2019 — during which time it put on three synthwave festivals and amplified the music of several synthwave artists. After someone stole the .com domain from site founder, James, he transferred everything over to the .net iteration. However, he was still the target of ire for some reason and decided to shutter the site. James, a tireless and endlessly positive force in the scene, apparently let the .net domain expire and return to the market. Vehlinggo purchased the domain and will hold on to it for that time that James decides to return to the scene — if that is something he wants.
