‘Stranger Things’ Score Vol. 1 Out Now on iTunes, Vol. 2 Comes Aug. 19

The soundtrack you’ve all been waiting for is out now on iTunes and Apple Music. The first volume of Stranger Things, the haunting quasi-retro synth score by Kyle Dixon and Michael Stein, is out today. You’ll find the second volume next Friday. Both are released by Lakeshore Records.

Vol. 1 comes out on CD on Sept. 16 and Vol. 2 on CD on Sept. 23. Both volumes feature the original score by Dixon and Stein, members of the popular Austin experimental synth band S U R V I V E.

Formed in 2009, the synth quartet S U R V I V E have gained an ever-increasing following, certainly helped by recent contributions to the awesome soundtrack for the acclaimed indie horror film The Guest. Their new album, RR7349, comes out on Sept. 30 on Relapse.

Stranger Things is out now on Netflix. You can stream it on Apple Music, of course, but maybe do everyone involved a solid and buy the downloads? Or you could wait and buy the vinyl, which Lakeshore confirmed is forthcoming.
