In a round of news coming from Italians Do It Better today, Johnny Jewel released “Yes,” a new Chromatics single from the soundtrack to Ryan Gosling’s forthcoming directorial debut Lost River (the soundtrack is itself coming out on March 30 with the film to follow in April).

The iTunes and Spotify releases have two additional versions of the tune, including a Symmetry remix of the song and a “lullaby” version.

You can also hear “Yes” in the Lost River trailer released today.

A highlight of the cut is that it features a trifecta of IDIB vocalists Megan Louise (Desire), Ida No (Glass Candy), and Ruth Radelet (Chromatics). Another notable fact about it is that it’s dark, beautiful, and awesome.

From Johnny’s Soundcloud page:

From The Film “Lost River” Written & Directed By Ryan Gosling. I Started Working On Lost River With Ryan In February 2013. Two Years Later…I Am So Excited To Finally Be Sharing This Beautiful Project With You. I’ll Be Releasing The Original Motion Picture Soundtrack On Italians Do It Better On March 30th.

Chromatics, Glass Candy, Desire, & Symmetry All Contribute Tracks…As Well As Two Songs I Recorded With Saoirse Ronan & Ben Mendelsohn.

The “Yes” Single Is Up On iTunes & Spotify Today.

Including Symmetry’s Remix Of The Love Theme & The Lullaby Reprise From Lost River.”

This year will see several other great releases from IDIB. In addition to Chromatics’ full-length Dear Tommy coming out this month (probably Feb. 15), Glass Candy’s long-awaited Body Work and Symmetry’s Still Life are also coming out this year, according to Johnny’s manager, Alexis Rivera of Echo Park Records.

March 6 Update: Dear Tommy has not yet been released and no new formal release date has been announced.
