The new 80s-centric Amazon show, Red Oaks, is cool for many reasons: It’s set in the 80s, it’s funny, and it adds an edge to Paul Reiser that never before existed. But it also features several artists you’ve read about on Vehlinggo: Miami Nights 1984, FM Attack, Soviet, Arcade High, and Kung Fury artists Lost Years, Betamaxx, and Mitch Murder. There might be more, but those are the ones I know of as of now. I’d love to see something from Highway Superstar’s forthcoming record, but no dice. Maybe next season.
If you have Amazon Prime, watch the new show.
