This one’s been in my head ever since I first heard it a week ago. It hits you and it sticks with you. Wherever you go after that first listen, you take it with you.
Vehlinggo has something great to share with you today: the premiere of “Wait For You,” a haunting synth-laden single from LA-based, English duo The Dot and The Line. The darkly beautiful number rapidly works its way into your consciousness, even as its tempo is decidedly measured: Its catchy hooks, triumphant chorus, and stirring background machinations bordering on ethereal will inevitably entrance you.
The duo, which formed this year, consists of vocalist Hetty Clark and keyboardist, guitarist, and programmer Ned Douglas.
Douglas has worked as programmer and engineer for a host of high-profile artists, including Stevie Nicks, Ringo Starr, Mick Jagger, and Ke$ha. His songwriting and production work has been featured in countless films and TV shows. Clark is an emerging English singer. Her vocal style is immediate, composed of a moody euphoria and featuring well-written lyrics that deal with the complexities of the human condition.
A full-length album is forthcoming. For more music by The Dot and The Line, check out this great video.
