Los Angeles-based Tori Letzler has made a name for herself as a multifaceted artist, and her latest work, the score for Netflix’s Russian spy sci-fi thriller In From The Cold, showcases her ease with employing 1990s industrial elements to craft something engaging and new. Today, Vehlinggo premieres “Jenny & Anya,” a particularly potent cue from Letzler’s score.
The cue kicks off with a pulsating synth topped with evocative strings and a wordless chanteuse’s proclamations, before giving way to a driving cornucopia of rough-edged synths and some blistering rock sensibilities. It’s a stirring window into Letzler’s approach toward crafting the best possible music for this story.
In addition to the score for In From The Cold, Letzler has scored the animated short Fetch on Disney+ and in 2018 produced a concert entitled “The Future is Female,” that highlighted her and 11 other female composers’ music. She has also contributed synths to CW’s Batwoman TV series and Marvel Studios’ Captain Marvel. Furthermore, she’s sung on more than 40 scores for noteworthy composers such as Hans Zimmer, Brian Tyler, Lorne Balfe, and Rupert Gregson-Williams.
Letzler also releases electronic music under the name TINYKVT.

In From The Cold has an interesting story: During a European vacation with her daughter, an American single mom’s life is turned upside down when the CIA forces her to confront her long-buried past as a Russian spy who was also the product of a highly classified KGB experiment granting her special abilities. After a mysterious string of manic and murderous incidents suggests someone with her exact abilities is targeting innocent people, Jenny (Margarita Levieva) is forced out of hiding to stop this villain or risk losing the family and new life she has built. Adam Glass (Supernatural, Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders, The Chi) serves as Showrunner and Executive Producer.
The In From The Cold original soundtrack is releasing this Friday, Jan. 28, on platforms worldwide through Netflix Music.
