NINA & Radio Wolf Return With The Stunning ‘To See You’

Berlin-based synthwave power couple NINA and Radio Wolf are back with an absolutely stunning new, guitar-driven single. “To See You” is one of those gorgeous, well made songs that hits you like a bolt of lightning and energizes the divine spark within yourself.

I eschewed hyperbole years ago, and have been careful to not label everything as the best thing since sliced bread, air conditioning, and affordable synthesizers. That said, I really needed this song. Perhaps you might, too. It’s just such an excellent number. Even better is that this is just one cut from what will be a two-volume album entitled Jukebox Dreams, the first volume of which is out June 19 via NewRetroWave Records. (Notably, every song on the album will be accompanied by custom motion-graphic visuals by I’M YOUR BOSS.)

Nina and Oliver Blair have always been a reliable source of some of the downright best synthwave, synth-pop, and pop/rock songs of the past several years. They have a noticeable depth and breadth of talent that sometimes gets lost in the noise of so much “content” and algorithmic tomfoolery. Independently, they shine. Together, they’re a massive star.

Take a listen and pay attention to some of the noteworthy elements. The atmospheric, Cure-like guitars, dirty synths, the fat bass, and the boisterous drum machine paint the scene with a bright blast of blue light against darkness. NINA’s powerful, expressive lyrics tell a tale of the power of love that Oliver Blair’s soaring, liquid-new-wave guitar solo carries into the stratosphere. What a powerful expression of art. I can’t get that chorus out of my head. And the production? Chef’s kiss.

The single is out now. As mentioned, the first volume of Jukebox Dreams releases next month. All via the eminently reliable NRW Records.

Some fans might have already heard this and several other Jukebox songs. The duo performed some live in Berlin, Cologne, Paris, London, and Amsterdam while supporting LA-based indie band Cannons on their European tour.
