Misty Vales, the Minneapolis, MN-based DJ (and my brother) has created a new mix exclusively for Vehlinggo. The artists, such as Cliff Martinez, Battiato, Cabaret Voltaire, HTRK, Tangerine Dream, M + M, Visage, and Chris & Cosey, all tap into that Vehlinggo vibe.
The songs in general are laid back, danceable numbers; but you should stay on for the entire ride to experience the darkly gorgeous, low-key conclusion.
You can find Misty Vales spinning vinyl around Minneapolis and St. Paul. Among the places at which he’s DJed are First Avenue, Barely Bros, Bev’s and the Kitty Cat Klub. In New York, when he comes to visit me, you also might even find him at some vegan dim-sum joint in the Village or downing some tasty brews at The Charleston.
You’ll find both of us somewhere mourning the extinct Portland, Oregon bar The Matador.
