VVerevvolf (Kelsey LaRae and Dylan Gallagher) have been incubating some gorgeous tunes for quite some time, but now we’re finally seeing the beautiful result. I caught this video not long ago, but for some reason failed to share it. Today, I make up for my grave sin.
“Cruel Games” is a dark blend of the nostalgic and the modern, mixing synths and liquid guitars over a Blood Orange-style rhythm section. LaRae’s vocals are a powerful match, taking us deep into the dynamics at play. I’ll write more about these two soon, but for today just enjoy this amazing song and excellent video.
