The latest episode of The Vehlinggo Podcast is hella good. Ben Lovett, composer for the new Hellraiser film on Hulu and a major fixture in Vehlinggoland, joins the podcast to discuss his score and his longtime partnership with director David Bruckner (The Ritual, The Night House), and more. Oh, and I also end up terrified in the woods behind my house, and play new music by Fawn (former Chromatics/Glass Candy members) and Mecha Maiko. I went a bit experimental with this episode, and despite some gremlins I’m excited about how it turned out.
You’ve read a bit about Fawn, featuring Ida No and Nat Walker, on this site, and of course Mecha Maiko is basically a Vehlinggo member at this point. So I was super pumped to play new music from them. And, even though I’ve interviewed Lovett a few times, I’ve never had him on the podcast. I’m happy to remedy that. The various embeds are below. You can also just go on your apps and find the episode, too.
