Ollie Wride, the UK-based singer and songwriter behind some of the biggest songs in synthwave and nostalgia-tinged modern rock and pop, is coming back to America and the tickets are on sale today. He’s announced he’s playing the historic Troubadour in Los Angeles on June 15 (with special guests!). This is truly a must-see show. Take it from me: You won’t want to miss Wride’s delightful blend of modern synth-laden music and indie, along with synthwave.
At the Troubadour, you can definitely expect to hear Wride-helmed FM-84 cuts like “Running in the Night” and “Never Stop,” and his own solo stuff, such as cuts from his NRW Records debut album Thanks In Advance, along with new songs off his upcoming LP coming out on M3 Recordings (a label from Matt Pinfield, Matt Malpass and Matt Holmes). Tickets to the show are here.
As longtime Vehlinggo readers will know, Wride puts on a helluva show. His showmanship matches his impeccable songwriting, and you know his full band is gonna kill it. So you better get yourself to LA in June. I wonder who the special guests will be?
